Rationale:
The Certificate in Development Bank Associate (CDBA) is a 2-week competency-based training course offering of the ADFIAP Institute (AI) in partnership with the London Institute of Business & Technology (LIBT).  This is Level 1 of the ADFIAP Career Credentialing Program (ACCP) that aims to enhance the capabilities and upgrade the managerial and technical skills of middle management level officers of development banks and other financial institutions in the performance of their present functions.  Designed to provide participants with an understanding and appreciation of the fundamental principles and practices of development banking as a concept which involves providing financial and technical assistance to support a country’s economic development strategy and social progress. It also features the evolution of development finance institutions and case studies of practices and experiences in the field.

Credential:
After satisfactorily completing all the requirements of this 2-week program, the participant will be given a credential of Certified Development Banking Associate (CDBA) that he/she can attach after his name, validating his expertise in development banking.

Methodology:
The course will utilize a combination of seminar and workshops consisting of lectures, demonstrations, and case studies. They will be encouraged to compare the practices in a selected development finance institution through educational field visit.

Composed of select group from the ADFIAP Institute and LIBT’s pool of management experts and bank practitioners.
