ADFIAP Institute
The ADFIAP Institute (formerly Institute of Development Finance) is the Professional Training and Career Service Center of the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP). Its mission is to provide continuing education and technical assistance to bankers and finance executives engaged in the financing of development. It is backed by over 45 years of experience and expertise in organizing training programs, seminars, and conferences around the world through the Association, its members, and international partners. It has in its training portfolio a variety of subjects in development banking and management, a worldwide network of resource persons and experts, and a comprehensive collection of teaching material and case studies.
The Ai conducts regular training courses and capacity-building programs and has organized more than a hundred conferences, symposia, and seminars on development finance issues worldwide. Some of these event were done in collaboration and partnership with ADFIAP members’ learning centers and with other international organizations such as the United nations Development Program, UN Environment Program, International Trade Centre-WTO, Asian Development Bank, Center for International Private Enterprise, and US Agency for International Development, Agence Francaise de Developpement, London Institute for Business and Technology, Oxford University, Cleaner Energy Future Initiative for ASEAN, among others. Partnering arrangements with other educational institutes, associations, and training centers are carefully undertaken on the basis of reputation, synergy, and performance.

The Management
The ADFIAP Institute is one of the service units of the Association and managed by officers and staff who have a combined international training experience of over 50 years in training needs assessment, design and delivery, conference and training events organizing, and human resource management. It has a worldwide reach of over a hundred training managers who provide consulting and advisory services to the Institute.
The Faculty
To ensure the effectiveness and relevance of the training programs, ADFIAP Institute utilizes a faculty and facilitator composed of carefully selected from a pool of professors and management experts from the Asia-Pacific Region.
Event
Human resource development, specific training, is one of the strengths of the Association. ADFIAP, through its ADFIAP Institute (formerly ADFIAP’s Institute of Development Finance), has organized over a hundred conferences, symposia, and seminars not only in the Asia-Pacific region but in Europe and North America as well, notably Germany, the U.S., and Canada.
Credentialing Program
The ACCP is a process of accrediting and recognizing the professional competence of a development banker. The credentialing program covers the professional staff of ADFIAP member-institutions and other financial institutions engaged in the financing of development; and any other development banking association with which the ADFIAP has a working agreement. The Ai is the credentialing unit of the Association.
There are three (3) levels of credentials for the professional and managerial staff of DFIs, as follows:
Certified Development Banking Associate (CDBA)
Certified Development Banking Executive (CDBE)
Fellow in Development Finance
