ADFIAP organizes Study Tour Program on Green Finance

Financial institutions (FIs) are critical in transitioning the economy to low carbon and driving investments toward more climate-resilient development. ADFIAP organized an international “Study Tour Program on Green Finance: Transition Pathways and Opportunities for Financial Institutions” in Makati City from November 18 to 22, 2024. The study tour program aims to demonstrate that net zero emissions can be achieved by 2050 through collaboration between government and private entities and thus contribute to the achievement of the goals of the Paris Agreement.

ADFIAP Holds Development Finance Fellowship Program in Bali, Indonesia

The ADFIAP Institute successfully conducted the Development Finance Fellowship Program (DFFP), ADFIAP Career Credentialing Program (ACCP) Level 3 on 4-5 November 2024 in Bali, Indonesia. The main resource person was Dr. Alvin Ang, Senior Researcher of the Strategy and Policy Studies of Brunei Darussalam, and concurrent Professor (on leave) of the Ateneo de Manila University’s Economics Department.

ADFIAP helps boost the Philippine housing sector

ADFIAP successfully conducted a training workshop on the “CORE Mortgage Lending Management Program” in Makati City on 21-25 October 2024 to support the country’s housing needs by establishing more affordable and decent housing development projects. The course was exclusively designed for Home Development Mutual (Pag-IBIG) Fund’s 25 key and senior lending officers in support of the “Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) Program”, a flagship housing initiative of the Philippine government to urgently address the enormous housing needs of the Filipinos with an estimated backlog of about 6 million housing units.

ARDB partners with ADFIAP for pioneering sustainability workshop

Phnom Penh, Cambodia: From August 26-29, 2024, in the dynamic and vibrant city of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where history meets modernity, ADFIAP, led by its Secretary General, Mr. Enrique Florencio, is currently conducting an intensive in-house seminar-workshop on “Embedding Sustainability into the Corporate DNA” for the esteemed ARDB Bank. The main goal of this engaging training is to craft a comprehensive sustainability roadmap, setting ARDB Bank on an exciting journey towards a future of sustainable development.

ADFIAP International Workshop on AI revolutionizes DFI’s climate change strategies and operational efficiency

With artificial intelligence (AI) experiencing rapid development in an era of unprecedented challenges posed by climate change, ADFIAP conducted a 5-day comprehensive hybrid course entitled, “AI, FIs, Climate Change and You!” in Manila, Philippines on 23-26 July and 6 August 2024. The course, which Dr Eduardo Canela, PhD, conducted, was attended by crucial development finance officers from the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) of India and Cambodia’s Agriculture and Rural Development Bank (ARDB). The participants found learning very informative through lectures and engaging with group discussions and hands-on workshops that used various existing AI apps right after every theoretical concept presentation.

ADFIAP’s Seminar-Workshop on Fostering Sustainable Finance and Development ends on High Note!

From May 27 to 31, 2024, ADFIAP, through its training arm, the ADFIAP Institute organized a comprehensive international seminar-workshop in Manila, Philippines, focused on the crucial theme of “Fostering Sustainable Finance and Development.” The event brought together participants from various Asian countries, all united in their dedication to advancing sustainable finance practices in the region.

ADFIAP successfully holds Study Tour Program on Green Finance

The ADFIAP institute conducted a 5-day Study Tour Program (STP) on Green Finance: Pathways and Opportunities for Financial Institutions on 13-17 November 2023. The program was conceptualized to support the global move of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and help achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement to hold the increase in the global average temperature to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels and limit global warming to 1.5°C level as well as the global goal of net-zero emissions by 2050.
