Course Description
As sustainability and climate imperatives reshape the global financial system, development financial institutions (DFIs) in Asia and the Pacific are increasingly expected to embed environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into their institutional DNA.
The 2026 edition of “Advancing Sustainable Finance through Green Governance, Risk Management and Compliance” is designed to strengthen the leadership and operational capacities of DFIs and banks in aligning governance, risk management, and compliance structures with the global sustainability agenda.
Through a combination of expert-led discussions, case-based learning, and practical exercises, the course provides participants with frameworks and tools to manage ESG-related risks, design compliant governance systems, and develop sustainable finance products that advance inclusive and low-carbon growth.
Participants will gain a deeper appreciation of how sustainability-driven governance can future-proof their institutions, ensure regulatory readiness, and enable their organizations to become active enablers of the green transition.
